Connectors

How to connect an app to your E‑STAGE hub

Last reviewed: By Cluesfinders Editorial Team

Connectors link your E-STAGE project to apps like WhatsApp, Slack, Google Sheets, Notion and Shopify. You connect an app once in Project Settings, then tell Genesis in plain words what should happen, for example that every new lead should arrive on your WhatsApp. This guide covers the two steps, what each of the 19 apps asks for, and what to check for safety.

What a connector does

A connector gives your site safe access to another app. Some send something out, like a WhatsApp or Slack message when a form is submitted. Others bring something in, like your YouTube videos, your Shopify products or your real Google reviews.

There are two kinds. Notification connectors (Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and Google Sheets) relay a message or a row when something happens. The others are written into your site by the AI, which maps your data to the app, for example to the columns your Notion database or Airtable table already has.

Step 1: connect the app

  • Open your Genesis project and go to Project Settings → Connectors.
  • Pick the app. Each one shows what it does and the fields it needs.
  • Paste what it asks for: a token, a webhook URL, or only a link for Cal.com.
  • Save. Secret tokens and keys are stored encrypted on the server and are never shipped in your site’s code.

Step 2: wire it in the chat

Connecting an app does not change your site by itself. Next, tell Genesis in the chat what should trigger it, and where. Name the app and the moment, in plain words.

  • “WhatsApp: send new leads to my WhatsApp.”
  • “Add every contact form submission as a new row in my Google Sheet.”
  • “Post in our Slack channel when someone buys.”
  • “Show my latest five YouTube videos on the home page.”
  • “Add a Book a call button that opens my Cal.com calendar.”

Where to find each value

  • Telegram: create a bot with @BotFather (/newbot) and copy its token. Add the bot to your chat or channel, then get the chat ID with a bot like @userinfobot.
  • WhatsApp: it uses the WhatsApp Business Cloud API from Meta, with a System User access token.
  • Google Sheets: add a small Apps Script to your sheet, deploy it once as a Web App and paste its URL. No Google Cloud project or OAuth is needed.
  • Slack and Discord: create an incoming webhook for the channel and paste its URL.
  • Trustpilot: copy the two IDs from the TrustBox code that Trustpilot generates for you. It works on any Trustpilot plan.

Safety and limits

  • Secret keys are encrypted on the server and never reach the visitor’s browser.
  • WhatsApp sends free-form text only inside its 24-hour service window, when the person messaged your number in the last 24 hours. Outside it, Meta requires pre-approved templates.
  • The Supabase anon key, the Firebase web config and the Shopify Storefront token are public by design. Protect your data with Supabase Row Level Security or Firebase Security Rules.
  • With Shopify, inventory, orders, payments and fulfilment stay in Shopify; your site becomes its storefront.

Frequently asked questions

Where are connectors in E‑STAGE?

In your Genesis project, under Project Settings → Connectors.

How many apps can I connect?

Nineteen when we checked on October 8, 2026.

Do I need to code?

No. You connect the app, then describe in the chat what should happen, and Genesis wires it into your site.

Which connectors need no API key?

Cal.com needs only your booking link, Trustpilot needs two IDs from its TrustBox code, and a Twitch chat feed needs only the channel name.

Can I connect Mailchimp here?

Email tools like Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or Kit have their own guide: see how to connect Mailchimp or another email tool to E-STAGE.
