Dedicated Cloud
What is E‑STAGE Dedicated Cloud, and when do you need it?
Last reviewed: By Cluesfinders Editorial Team
Dedicated Cloud is an optional add-on service, separate from your hub. It gives one E-STAGE project a dedicated backend: a database, authentication, realtime and edge functions. It is fully managed, and Genesis can create the tables and wire your site to them. This guide explains what each part does, when a site needs it and when it does not, how to turn it on, and what to ask Genesis once it is active.

Which setup fits your site?
| Your site needs… | Use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pages, forms, a CRM and email | No dedicated backend | Forms, contacts and email already work in your hub |
| To send leads to WhatsApp, Slack or a sheet | Connectors | An app is connected in Project Settings → Connectors |
| Its own saved data, user logins or live updates | Dedicated Cloud (optional add-on) | A managed database, auth, realtime and edge functions |
| A Supabase or Firebase project you already run | The Supabase or Firebase connector | Your site talks to the backend you already have |

What Dedicated Cloud is
Most pages only show content. When a site has to remember things, like who signed up, what someone booked or a member’s progress, it needs a backend. Dedicated Cloud is that backend, set up for one project and managed for you.
It is not included with your hub by default. It is a separate service you add only to the projects that need it.
You do not install or configure servers. You describe what the site should save and show, and Genesis creates the tables and connects your pages to them.
What is inside
- Database: always-on tables for the data your site collects.
- Authentication: sign-up, login and sessions for your users.
- Realtime: pages that update on their own when the data changes.
- Edge functions: server code for jobs that should not run in the visitor’s browser.
When you need it, and when you don’t
You likely need it when your site acts like an app: a member area with saved data, a client portal with logins, a dashboard, a booking or request list you manage, or anything that updates live.
You likely do not need it for a website with pages, forms, a CRM, email and connected apps. Those already work in your hub without a dedicated backend.
How to turn it on
- Open your Genesis project and go to Project Settings.
- Under Cloud & Publishing, open Dedicated Cloud.
- Pick a plan size. Each one shows its CPU, memory and who it is best for, with the price for your account.
- Click Activate Dedicated Cloud. It is billed monthly to your card, and you can upgrade or cancel anytime.
Choosing a size
The plans go from a small size for a real small site to large sizes for very busy databases. Bigger plans add CPU and memory for more concurrent users, heavier queries and larger datasets.
Start with the size that fits your traffic today. Because you can upgrade anytime, there is no need to buy room you will not use yet.
What to ask Genesis
Once it is active, describe the result you want in plain words, for example:
- “Save every booking request in a table and list them in my dashboard.”
- “Add a member login, and show each member only their own saved items.”
- “Make the order list update live when a new order comes in.”
- “Store each quiz result with the person’s email and score.”

Frequently asked questions
Where is Dedicated Cloud in E‑STAGE?
In your Genesis project, under Project Settings → Cloud & Publishing → Dedicated Cloud.
Is Dedicated Cloud included with my hub?
No. It is an optional add-on service. Your hub, website, forms, CRM and email work without it, and you activate it only for the project that needs it.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the plan size, and your Project Settings show the prices before you activate. It is billed monthly to your card, with upgrade or cancel anytime.
Do I need to know SQL or code?
No. Genesis creates the tables and wires your site to them from your description.
Can I use my own Supabase or Firebase instead?
Yes. If you already run one, connect it in Project Settings → Connectors, and Genesis writes the integration with it.
