How to build a website with E‑STAGE Genesis
Last reviewed: By Cluesfinders Editorial Team
In E-STAGE, your website is built by Genesis AI: you describe what you want, or start from a template, and it builds a real React site in a live preview. Then you refine it in chat or by clicking in the visual editor, and publish it to your own domain. This guide walks through each step, from choosing how to start to the checks to do before you go live.

Four ways to start a website
| Start from… | How | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| A description | Brief Genesis AI in plain words in the chat | You know what you want but have no design yet |
| A template | Pick one of 224 in the Genesis Marketplace | You want a finished layout to adapt |
| A Figma design | Paste the Figma link in the chat | A designer already made the pages |
| Your own page | Paste its URL: inspire, rebuild design or full clone | You are moving an existing site of yours |
From the E-STAGE Knowledge Base and the Genesis Marketplace, October 7, 2026. Clone only your own sites; take inspiration from others.
Create the project
In Genesis, click New project. A chooser asks what you are building: Website or Hub, Web app, or Mobile app. Choose Website or Hub for a site; it produces a complete React site you can publish to your own domain.
One project can hold a website, a web app, a mobile app and a desktop app together. A desktop app is added from inside an existing project.
Describe it or pick a template
- Describe it: write what you need, for example “a landing page for my coaching business”. Genesis plans it and builds it in a preview next to the chat.
- Template: open Marketplace in the Genesis menu, filter by category (landing pages, web apps, mobile apps, desktop apps), preview it and start from it.
- Figma: paste a frame’s link in the chat. Connect your Figma account read-only under Settings → Integrations first, or the link is only used as loose inspiration.
- Your own site: paste the URL and choose inspire, rebuild design or full clone. Pages behind a login, live content, videos and working forms cannot be cloned.

Refine it: chat and visual editor
Use the chat for structural changes: a new section, a new page, a feature. Select an element first and your next message applies only to that element.
Use the visual editor for small tweaks: double-click text to edit it, select an element to open the style panel, Alt-drag to move it within its section, and press Delete to remove it. Both edit the same site, so you can switch at any time.
Make it look like your brand
- Open Theme Colors in the left panel to set the palette and typography for the whole site.
- Use the page selector in the top toolbar to add and organize pages and folders.
- Check the Tablet and Mobile viewports in the preview, not only desktop.
- Share a live preview link with Client Review to collect comments before launch.
Set up SEO
In Settings → SEO, set the site’s social description (up to 200 characters) and social image (1200×630 recommended), and paste verification codes for Google Search Console, Bing, Yandex or Pinterest. Each page can have its own title (up to 90 characters), description, social image and robots setting, and can be listed or hidden.
On publish, pages are fully pre-rendered on your own domain, and the genesis.estage.com address stops competing with your domain in search.
Publish and connect your domain
- Click Publish in the top right. When it finishes, an Open site button takes you to the live site at yourproject.genesis.estage.com.
- To use your domain, go to Settings → Domain → DNS Records, pick an active domain (or a subdomain) and click Connect.
- HTTPS is included, the bare domain also covers www, and there is no need to republish: the site goes live on your address right after you connect.
- Payments only work on the published site, so test your order forms there.
Checklist before going live
- Every link in the navigation goes to a real page.
- Tablet and mobile look right.
- The SEO description and social image are set.
- A favicon is set in Settings → General.
- Forms and order forms are configured.
After launch
- Run a Google PageSpeed audit per page from Performance, with one-click AI fixes.
- Publish again after changes; the new version replaces the old one.
- Type “undo” in chat to reverse the last AI change, or restore a snapshot from Version History.
- Unpublish from Settings → General to take the site out of search engines; the project stays intact.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the site in plain words and edit by clicking. A built-in code editor is there if you want it.
How many website templates does E-STAGE have?
224 in the Genesis Marketplace when we checked on October 7, 2026.
Can I connect a domain I already own?
Yes. Add the domain to your workspace, then connect it to the project under Settings → Domain → DNS Records. HTTPS is included.
Can I copy another website?
Genesis can clone a page from its URL, but E-STAGE warns that cloning someone else’s site can infringe their copyright and brand. Clone your own sites and only take inspiration from others.
Can I keep editing while it publishes?
Yes. Only what existed when you clicked Publish is shipped; publish again to send later changes.
