How to connect Mailchimp or another email tool to E‑STAGE
Last reviewed: By Cluesfinders Editorial Team
If your list already lives in Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Kit or another email tool, you can keep it there and connect it to your E-STAGE hub. If you have no tool yet, ESTAGE Native Email works without any outside account. This guide shows the 16 tools you can connect, the three ways they connect, and how to move your contacts into E-STAGE later without hurting your sender reputation.

Native email or a connected tool?
ESTAGE Native Email keeps your subscribers in the E-STAGE CRM and sends from there, with no outside account. Use it if you are starting fresh or want everything in one place.
Connect a tool if your list, automations and history already live somewhere else and you are not ready to move. The two are not exclusive: many people connect first so no lead is lost, and import into E-STAGE later.
Connect your tool step by step
- Open your project in Genesis and go to Settings → Email Integrations.
- Find your tool in the list and click Connect.
- Paste what it asks for: an API key, a sign-in code, or a webhook URL (see the table above).
- Click Connect My Account. The connection becomes active.
- Do a test signup on one of your forms and check that the contact arrives in your email tool.
Tools that use an API key
Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, Kit, HubSpot, Brevo, MailerLite, SendGrid, Keap, Moosend, Sender, Sendlane and Ontraport connect with an API key or token. You create it in your tool’s own account settings, usually under API or Integrations, and paste it into E-STAGE.
ActiveCampaign is flexible: E-STAGE accepts either your full API URL or just your account name. Treat any API key like a password and do not share it.
AWeber and Zoho: sign in with a code
- Click to generate a code in E-STAGE.
- Sign in with AWeber or Zoho in the window that opens.
- Copy the code it gives you and paste it back into E-STAGE.
Tool not on the list? Use Zapier
Create a Zap that starts with a webhook, copy its webhook URL and paste it into the Zapier card in E-STAGE. E-STAGE sends a test so you can map the fields in Zapier, then send the leads on to any tool Zapier supports.
Edit, pause or remove
- Edit: change the credentials, for example after you create a new API key.
- Pause: stop sending leads for a while without disconnecting, then resume.
- Remove: disconnect the tool. E-STAGE asks you to confirm first.
Moving your list into E-STAGE later
- The CRM Import tab brings things over in order: custom fields, tags, lists, email templates, then contacts.
- Importing contacts fires active automations triggered by contact created or list subscribed. Pause those before a big import.
- After importing, check Suppressions, especially from GetResponse and ActiveCampaign, so people who opted out are not mailed again.
- Kit (ConvertKit) has no native lists, so its forms come in as lists, and last name and phone are not included.
- GetResponse does not expose unsubscribed contacts, so everyone imports as active. AWeber custom fields arrive as text only.
